Story Line: The Set up 2 is a continuation of the 2019 film The Set Up. This time, it’s four years later and Chike and Grace must come together and formulate a plan to take down Usi, the new enemy. Chike (Adesua Etomi) is holed up somewhere. The Nigerian government wants her dead or incarcerated because of her underhand dealings from ‘The Set Up’. Also, she has been shut out of her life and from her adopted sister Grace (Kehinde Bankole), who is now married. To get her to do a job, Usi (Nancy Isime), who now leads Chike’s former gang, kidnaps Grace’s daughter. This forces Chike and Grace to close ranks and work together as they discover that in Nigeria, the security forces, the gangs, the drug lords, the politicians, the money launderers and the terrorists are all cut from the same cloth. What follows is a series of missions and counter missions. Will there be redemption for Chike, or is she still the same underworld linchpin? The movie, Set Up 2 starts with a quick recap from the first part: Chike and Grace’s life journey and how Chike lands in the nets of US security and has to work for them to avert jail time. Chike receives her first mission in the first 10 minutes to bring in Moyowa Kuku, an alleged arms dealer. While executing this mission, she meets Usi (Isime) for the first time. The movie progresses to Dimeji (Arukwe) expressing how happy he is that they get to live a life void of Chike. Right after, Grace senses someone outside and goes outside to attack the intruder. She then calls out on the rest of the intruders who step out of the shadows into her house and manage to take away her daughter and nanny.
