Story Line: COBRA season two is available for fans of the series to watch and with a gripping new storyline for viewers to invest in, a pandemic was on the cards before coronavirus changed the world. Season 2, Episode 1 of Cobra Kai starts right after the intense Season 1 finale events. In this episode, Johnny Lawrence (played by William Zabka) starts to find his attempt to bring Cobra Kai back and change his life challenging. He's trying to impart important lessons to his students, but his old school methods and rough demeanor bring him into conflict. In the meantime, Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio), having the life of a successful car dealership and family life, starts seeing the effect Cobra Kai has on his hometown community. His concern for his students' welfare, as well as the introspection he does, lead him to a point of making a change in his own life. The initial Season 2 episode emphasizes the conflict between Johnny and Daniel, which creates a foundation for an even fiercer rivalry as Johnny attempts to validate that he's not the same individual he used to be during his youth, whereas Daniel ponders his past and his own philosophy of martial arts. In the meantime, the teenage characters, such as Miguel, Robby, and Samantha, have their own complicated relationships and issues, all during the midst of the continuing conflict between the two owners of the dojo. This episode establishes an important theme for the season: what constitutes a good sensei and what kind of influence a mentor can have on the future generation.
