Story Line: An unsettling omen washes ashore in the wake of the storm. Later, when the locals gather for a potluck, tragedy strikes - and a miracle occurs. Father Paul continues delivering his impassioned sermons, thrilling the congregation. His presence has revitalized the island's fervently religious population, particularly Bev Keane, who views him as a gift from above. Others, though, such as Sheriff Hassan, are suspicious of the priest's power. At the same time, Riley Flynn is grappling with his guilt and unbelief. He starts going to Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings, but to his shock, the sole other person there is Father Paul himself. The priest tries to lead Riley spiritually, focusing on the strength of God's forgiveness.
