Story Line: Christmas is the greatest achievement in human history. But when Rudy’s father left home on Christmas Day 30 years ago, Rudy promised to do Christmas again every day until his father returned. 30 years later, Rudy is still celebrating Christmas every day. The movie centers on Randy, a middle-aged guy who has been fascinated by Christmas his whole life. Unlike other people who celebrate the holiday season for several weeks, Randy maintains his house decorated with Christmas stuff throughout the year and keeps going about things as if it's the holiday season, regardless of the time of the year. His strange actions prevent him from easily becoming part of everyday society, causing him to be lonely and without romantic relationships. As he nears his 40th birthday, Randy begins to feel the pressure of his solitude and understands that his overindulgence in Christmas has kept him from actually living. Through the assistance of his best friend and a woman who unexpectedly walks into his life, he tries to reform and discover love without letting go of his Christmas spirit. The movie is about self-acceptance, isolation, and the tension between individual passion and societal expectations, all presented in a quirky and sentimental holiday setting.
