Story Line: After leaving a life of crime and violence, Ray is a reformed good guy, enjoying a quiet family life in the 'burbs. But when his past is discovered, Ray is blackmailed into one last job to collect a mysterious package. After a deadly double-cross, he finds himself wounded and on the run from ruthless assassins who will stop at nothing to get what he has. Now, with the lives of his loved ones hanging in the balance and danger at every turn, Ray's only hope is to draw upon his violent past to survive.

The Ray (also known as Run & Gun) is a 2022 American action thriller film written and directed by Christopher Borrelli. The film stars Mark Dacascos, Janel Parrish, Celestino Cornielle, Ben Milliken, Richard Kind, Brad William Henke, Hudson Yang, and Ari Barkan. Set in the ruins of the Salton Sea and follows Ray, a former criminal evading a series of ruthless killers led by eccentric mob boss, Grayson. Ray finds refuge with a mysterious good Samaritan, but it soon becomes apparent, however, he has walked into the nest of someone even more dangerous than the killers pursuing him. After leaving a life of crime and violence, Ray is a reformed good guy, enjoying a quiet family life in the ‘burbs.

Now, with the lives of his loved ones hanging in the balance and danger at every turn, Ray's only hope is to draw upon his violent past to survive. While the first half-hour has a few amusingly quirky moments, such as Greyson asking Ray to kill a tree, there’s nothing particularly special going on. Certainly, nothing that will divert your attention from Run & Gun’s lack of running or gunning. Unfortunately, after the actual double-cross and a brief chase. Run & Gun quickly goes back to Walk & Talk. Ray finds a place to hide at an abandoned factory, but its watchman Billings (Brad William Henke, The Stand, Split) may not be as friendly as he seems.
