Plot Summary:
Three vampires—Viago (Taika Waititi), Deacon (Jonathan Brugh), and Vladislav (Jemaine Clement)—live together in Wellington, New Zealand. They are visited by a fourth vampire, Petyr (Ben Fransham), who warns them about the Vampire Council's plan to kill them due to their "unhygienic" lifestyle. To impress the Council, Viago hosts a party, but their plans unravel when a human, Nick (Cori Gonzalez-Macuer), accidentally kills Deacon and is turned into a vampire. Nick's reluctance fades, and he becomes a vampire, but their world is disrupted further by werewolves who kill Vladislav. The vampires flee, leaving Nick alone with the werewolves.
