The film went through some minor changes though the saffron bikini scene in the song "Besharam Rang" was reportedly retained. The film was later granted a U/A certificate by the Board.
However, the controversy continued as members of the Hindu nationalist militant organization Bajrang Dal vandalized a mall in Ahmedabad due to the promotions of the film. They also tore down the posters of the film and warned them not to release the film in theaters. In response, the Gujarat Multiplex Association wrote a letter to the Chief Minister and Home Minister seeking protection for theater owners.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi later advised his party workers and leaders to refrain from making unnecessary remarks on films. It's important to respect the freedom of expression and censorship laws that are in place.
